Unlock the power of Webflow... and get the website you actually need, for a price that doesn't make you wince

If you're looking for a user-friendly Content Management System (CMS) that literally anyone can use (including Brian in Accounts), Webflow should be the platform of choice for your new or updated website.

Webflow also offers designers like me the scope to build really modern, engaging and dynamic websites that are responsive on any device and load super quickly – all without developing RSI from typing out millions of lines of code.

Do the Germans always win penalty shoot-outs?

In all seriousness, there are pros and cons to both Wordpress and Webflow.

Many developers and their clients feel safe with Wordpress, simply because it's been around for so long and is a tried and tested platform.

However, because of its open-source nature, any Tom, Dick, Harry or Geoffrey can build a plugin and if you want advanced functionality within Wordpress, you'll need to use plugins.

Plugins can not only slow down your site, but also completely send it to the knacker's yard in some cases.

Webflow doesn't use plugins because all of its functionality comes from good old fashioned naked code.

That means a faster site, less bloated code and less reliance on plugin developer updates.

The main benefit of Webflow is its design canvas, which helps designers like me build incredible websites visually without writing a single line of code.

Webflow, instead, writes clean, semantic code in the background as I design on the canvas, adding dynamic interactions and animations, and creating dreamy, highly-engaging and content-rich pages.

Webflow's CMS is also hugely impressive – and incredibly easy for clients to use when I hand over their beautiful new website at the end of a project.

This is open to debate... but hear me out.

Webflow websites are hosted within Webflow itself and each website on the platform needs a Site Plan to go live.

Webflow Site Plans are competitively priced against traditional Wordpress hosting packages with companies like Siteground.

However, companies like Siteground usually offer new hosting packages at reduced prices for the first 12 months – something Webflow doesn't offer.

But when you consider the superior, user-friendly CMS you get with a Webflow website, as well as the platform's incredible functionality without the need for millions of plugins, Webflow Site Plans really do offer superb value.

I spent years building websites in Wordpress, but I'm afraid I won't go back.

I'm now only designing and building sites in Webflow, because I honestly believe so much in the platform – both for me as a designer and for the clients who trust me with their websites.

It's the future. And I'm completely here for that.
